Now that the winter months are here, uber-popular Australian-made UGG boots have their time to shine. You can typically find people wearing furry boots on just about any street in the world, and retailers have also upped their inventory. UGG has also pushed the envelope by releasing collaborations with popular brands like Palace Skateboards. They’re now receiving a utility-themed makeover made possible by Los Angeles-based brand STAMPD.
The two companies have worked together, but this newest approach aims to blend style and function. The collab takes the classic UGG boot and offers a ribbed ankle section. Aside from that, the rest of the base shoe is your standard boot. What makes this collection special is the dual “UGG guards” that come with each pair. Those guards are put on as an overshoe, giving the boots waterproof protection against the winter elements. The STAMPD x UGGs will be available in black, taupe, and military camo, with two sets of UGG guards coming with each pair. The guards will come in black, taupe, camo, clear, and blue and will vary depending on the base colorway for the boot. Some options of the guard will also feature a glow-in-the-dark function bringing a whole new aesthetic to the boots.
The STAMPD x UGGs collection will drop via STAMPD online and in-store on December 9th and then via UGGs online shop on December 12th. The boots will retail for $275 and will be available in unisex sizing. For all the latest news on footwear, follow us on Twitter and Instagram.
