The fashion house of Louis Vuitton is in good hands with Pharrell Williams at the helm. Many wondered if Pharrell had the chops to run such a significant program. Still, all those concerns were put to rest after his recent SS24 Runway. The star-studded event featured performances by some music industries, apparel that caught the world's eye, and 3 pieces of footwear that made for some attractive watercooler talk the next day.
After the show, LV Head Footwear Designer Mathias Patillon took to Instagram to give a close-up of the footwear pieces. The "LV Footprint" is a plush ankle-high slipper white a bear-paw-like sole that will come in at least 3 colors. The LV monogram printed plush bootie has been teased in brown, blue, and a seafoam-green colorway.
Next up was a 6-pack of open-healed house slippers using the script LV logo embroidered over the signature checkerboard pattern. The slippers will come in red, green, yellow, orange, blue, and black and have insoles that match the alternating checkerboard squares.
The other piece of footwear Patillon teased was the notorious LV Trainer. The trainers are in a crocodile skin-textured suede and come in monochromatic red, seafoam-green, yellow, black, blue, and purple. The solid color blocking of the trainers is reminiscent of the Samba collection Pharrell dropped recently with Adidas.
