With the DadShoe movement picking up steam, Nike was not about standby and letting New Balance and Asics steal the spotlight. Nike dug into the archives, pulled out the Vomero 5, and joined the fray. Since re-releasing the shoe last year, it has been an absolute barn burner. With new colorways popping up all the time, the Vomero 5 is showing no signs of slowing down any time soon.
The latest installment of the Nike Vomero 5 comes to us in a familiar colorway, "Gundam," styled after the popular Japanese anime series. The colorway appeared most recently on a pair of SB Dunk Highs last year. The multicolored upper features a red mesh toe box with chrome-coated overlays. The Vomero 5s signature TPU cage matches the red mesh, light-blue sock liner, and white laces round out the top side. The midsole has a base white color but is pre-distressed to look like it has been scuffed and scraped many times.
The Nike Vomero 5 "Gundham" will be released during this year's holiday season with a retail price of $160. When their time comes, Gundhams will drop via the SNKRS App and other select retailers worldwide. For more updates on sneaker releases, follow us on Twitter and Instagram.
