The Nike G.T. Cut has always been a true crowd-pleaser for actual hoopers, and Nike is now ready to introduce the G.T. Cut 3 with some brand-new features. Nike has made it a point to seek innovation this year, and the G.T. Cut 3 is happy to meet that ambition.
The Nike G.T. Cut 3 will mark the first time the brand ZoomX Foam will be used on a basketball shoe. The ZoomX Foam will help the G.T. Cut 3 achieve “next-level responsiveness with a low-to-the-ground court feel”according to the official Nike press release. The upper will comprise a lightweight textile with Flywire support on the medial and lateral forefoot.
The debut colorway will feature a red and white design that may remind some O.G. sneakerheads of the Supreme SB Dunk “Jewel Swoosh” The perforated white upper is topped off with a translucent red swoosh and matching swoosh on the tongue tag. The forefoot features a wrap-around red TPU feature extending onto the outsole.
In addition to the adult-sized model, the Nike G.T. Cut 3 will come in pre-school and toddler sizes. Nike is also introducing a somewhat scaled-down, budget-friendly model called the Nike G.T. Cut Academy. These newest members of the G.T. Cut family will be available from Nike and other select retailers starting in Spring 2024.
