Update (08/30/23): Nike is sending compensation for those that had their orders cancelled. One user received a $100 Nike Gift Card for the "inconvenience that it may have caused." It's not a pair of Kobe's, but at least Nike is willing to acknowledge the mistake and make it right in some way.
Nike SNKRS celebrated Mamba Day 2023 with an exclusive restock of sought-after Kobe models. Sneaker enthusiasts had a mere 24 minutes to try their luck at snagging one of these limited edition releases, including the coveted Kobe 6 "Grinch", "Mambacita", Kobe 4 "Gigi", and "Undefeated x Kobe 5 "Hall Of Fame". With stock limited to just a few thousand pairs, securing one was akin to winning the lottery. Specifically, it was reported that the Kobe 4 "Gigi" had less than 6,000 pairs. Similar numbers were reported for the other models.
But the drama didn't stop at the drop. Nike SNKRS experienced an overselling hiccup, with more pairs being sold than were available in stock. Many lucky buyers soon found their celebrations cut short by order cancellations today (8/29/23).
