Nike Signs Bronny James

LeBron James' son, Bronny James is following in his fathers footsteps and has agreed to sign with Nike. Bronny James is a senior in high school at Sierra Canyon and plays as a guard on the schools basketball team.

Bronny has always shown flashes of his father during combines and tournaments, so it's no surprise why Nike decided to put the pen to paper. Today Nike announced that the contract would be a name, image, and likeness deal. On July 1st the NCAA changed its policy to allow student athletes to profit off NIL, Nike wasted no time taking advantage of this policy and has since signed dozens to NIL deals. Bronny has shown his enthusiasm for the deal with the following statement.

“For as long as I can remember, Nike’s been a part of my family. Getting a chance to team up with them and continue my family’s legacy both on the court and in the community is wild—it really means a lot to me.”

Bronny is no stranger to the Nike brand, during his time at Sierra Canyon he's been seen rocking a line up of his fathers shoes as well as a collection of Kobes, KD's signature line, and plenty of other Nike exclusives. Sierrra Canyons jerseys are also sponsored by Nike and has been worn on Bronnys' chest for the past 3 years. Lebron James first signed with the sportswear juggernaut in 2003 before he even stepped foot on the NBA hardwood. In late 2015 King James signed a lifetime deal that has been rumored to be worth around $1 Billion.

After being raised and trained by the King himself, there is no telling what Bronnys' deal could be worth in the future. For more information on Nike, and to stay up to date with the latest releases, connect with us on Instagram and Twitter
