The Mercurial Superfly line was first introduced by Nike back in 2009. Since then, we've seen many new iterations in design and new technology. The latest version of the Mercurial Superfly is the Superfly 9, which features innovations such as an ultra-thin Teijin skin exterior, Flywire threads, lightweight traction cleats, a carbon fiber chassis, and a seven-layer carbon outsole, making it more flexible and lighter than its predecessors. Additionally, we also see design influence from the popular Air Max Plus, mimicking the style across the upper.
Arriving in Spring, the latest colorway will be "Voltage Purple," featuring a color palette including Voltage Purple and Total Orange hues. The knitted base layer and ankle collar will be found in a sleek black, with a Voltage Purple shell upper with Black TPU reinforcements. Total Orange accents will be found on the Nike Swoosh as well as hinted on the outsole. The underfoot features a Zoom Air unit, with "Zm AIR" branding found on the heels and insoles of the shoe.
