The original pair debuted in 2013 as a direct nod to Nike's Mercurial Vapor football boot, a connection rooted in Kobe's well-documented appreciation for soccer. That football-to-basketball crossover gave the colorway a look unlike anything else in the Kobe line at the time, and the 2026 Protro version stays faithful to that blueprint rather than reimagining it.

Pink fades into purple across the mesh upper, pulling the gradient that made the original so recognizable. Volt hits the Swoosh, outsole, and heel for a sharp contrast against the warmer tones above.
