The Nike Kobe 5 Protro is linking two of Los Angeles' most iconic sports identities with the "Dodgers" colorway, a build that draws directly from the city's baseball team to dress Kobe Bryant's signature shoe in familiar diamond-ready colors. Blue dominates the upper throughout, while a snakeskin-style texture runs across the support panels and eyestays to give the construction some visual depth beyond the flat team reference.

Red baseball stitching wraps the heel, landing as the most direct nod to the Dodgers without leaning into heavy team branding. White breaks up the blue base at the Kobe sheath logo on the tongue and along the border of the grey Swoosh, keeping the palette close to the club's standard uniform colors. Earlier samples had surfaced with Kobe photo insoles, but the final retail version swaps that portrait graphic for a cleaner white sheath logo printed inside the shoe.
