The Nike Kobe 10 Protro "5AM Flight" Releases October 2026

Nike is reviving the Kobe 10's original launch colorway with the Protro "5AM Flight", returning more than a decade after the shoe first released in 2015. From the early images, this reads as a faithful return rather than a heavy redesign, keeping the look of the original largely intact while updating what's underneath.

Blue Lagoon engineered mesh covers the upper, with black Swooshes running along the sides and red accents hitting the tongue, heel, and Kobe Bryant's signature. The semi-translucent outsole from the original is back as well, carrying the water theme that connects to the story behind the colorway's name. Bryant coined the "5AM Flight" after posting a Vine clip of himself diving into a pool at 5 a.m. during his rehab from a torn Achilles in 2013, and that moment became the foundation for the Kobe 10's debut colorway. A graphic hidden inside the tongue carries that reference forward on this Protro build. Most of the meaningful updates are expected in the cushioning and performance setup, which is where Nike typically focuses its changes across the Kobe Protro line.
