The Nike KD 6 "Meteorology" Returns July 2026

Nike is bringing back the KD 6 "Meteorology" for 2026, reviving one of the more conceptually distinct colorways in the Kevin Durant signature line. Originally released in 2013, the design draws from Durant's early fascination with weather forecasting, translating that theme into a color scheme built around Black and Medium Olive with sharp hits of Atomic Red and Noble Red throughout.

The upper pairs a predominantly black base with olive panels at the tongue, collar, and medial side, each marked with checkered detailing that reinforces the weather-map concept. Splashes of bright red break through the darker tones across the build, while a large patterned Swoosh dominates the lateral side with red KD graphics near the heel. Black laces and a matching midsole keep the bolder colors from overwhelming the palette, and a printed lining carries the meteorological motif into the interior. On the performance side, Nike has retained the original Flywire support system threaded through the lacing, a forefoot Zoom Air unit in the low-profile sole, and cushioned heel construction suited to the sock-like fit the KD 6 was known for.
