Nike appears to be teasing an early shock drop of the Air Jordan 4 Thunder on the Nike SNKRS app. The sneaker was initially introduced in 2006, then made a reappearance in 2012, and is now making a return for 2023.
On Friday, Nike made a hint about an early release via the SNKRS app. The poll caption stated, “If AJ4 "Thunder" dropped early, are you…” Users were able to choose between "Team early" and "Waiting for launch day." 84% of the 406,000 votes cast were for the “Team early”.
The current Air Jordan 1 "Lost and Found" resupply that was indicated in the app earlier this week also follows the same trend.
The Air Jordan 4 Thunder is part of a three-shoe series that includes the Lightning 4s with a yellow/black color scheme and the Tour Yellow 4s with a white/black/yellow color scheme. The Thunder 4s have a black nubuck upper with vibrant yellow accents on the midsole, outsole, tongue, and Jumpman logo. The shoe also features black mesh panels on the sides and tongue, and black laces with yellow lace holders.
