The Nike Air Rift 2 "Metallic Silver/Vast Grey" Arrives Fall 2026

Nike is bringing back the Air Rift 2 for Fall 2026 with a colorway built around Metallic Silver, Vast Grey, and Black, leaning into the silhouette's distinctive open construction and tabi-inspired split-toe sole. The updated shape modernizes the original's spirit without leaning on nostalgia alone, offering a cleaner, more minimal take on one of Nike's most unconventional runners.

A silver textile covers most of the upper, carrying a soft metallic finish across the side panels, which are dotted with perforations for breathability. Large open sections through the midfoot and heel reveal a black mesh layer underneath, making the shoe's open-air construction a visual feature rather than just a functional one. This version trades the original Air Rift's strap system for a simpler slip-on build, streamlining the silhouette considerably. Black wraps the lower portions of the shoe, taking over the mudguard, toe, heel, lining, and outsole, while small embroidered Swooshes land near the forefoot. Additional branding appears on the vamp tab, sockliners, and molded midsole.

The Vast Grey foam midsole carries a sculpted profile that flows into a black rubber outsole fitted with deep flex grooves. Traction splits beneath the forefoot in line with the tabi-style toe, a detail that ties the functional design back to the model's original concept.
