The Nike Air Max Foamdome "Eggplant" Returns November 2026

Nike is bringing back the Air Max Foamdome "Eggplant" for Holiday 2026, a full ten years after the model last saw shelves in November 2016. The Foamdome occupies a unique corner of the Nike catalog, blending the molded Foamposite shell construction most associated with basketball with a heavier, higher-cut boot build designed for cold-weather wear.

The upper is dominated by that signature molded shell in a deep eggplant purple, giving the shoe its name and its most recognizable visual element. Black leather wraps the eyestay, toe, and collar, keeping the palette dark and cohesive, while black laces reinforce the tonal look up top. Underfoot, multiple visible Air Max units run across the midsole, delivering the cushioning platform the model is built around. Purple carries over into portions of the outsole as well, adding a subtle color hit that ties the bottom of the shoe back to the shell without disrupting the overall dark character of the build.

Purple has long been tied to the Foamposite line, making the "Eggplant" colorway a natural fit for the Foamdome. On this silhouette, though, the color lands on a bulkier, more rugged shape than the court models it is typically associated with, pushing the whole package closer to ACG boot territory than anything meant for hardwood.
