The Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble "Solar Red" Releases July 2026

Nike is putting a new spin on the Air Max 95's most recognizable design trait with the "Solar Red" colorway, reversing the silhouette's classic gradient so that darker shades sit higher on the upper and fade down into lighter grey panels near the midsole. The inversion is a subtle but deliberate nod to Sergio Lozano's original musculoskeletal concept, reinterpreting rather than simply recoloring a well-established formula.

Black mesh and suede make up the bulk of the upper, with cutout layered panels along the sides referencing the anatomical structure Lozano drew from when he designed the 95. Solar Red accents thread through the neutral palette on the lace loops, mini Swooshes, and pieces of the outsole, while white laces offer a secondary contrast against the otherwise dark build. Nike Air branding appears at the heels, and traditional Air Max tongue graphics close out the detailing.

This iteration also receives the oversized Big Bubble Air cushioning unit underfoot, which increases the visible color presence at ground level and brings the proportions of the silhouette closer to those of the original Air Max 95. The larger unit reads as both a functional update and a visual one, giving the shoe a stance that feels more in line with the 1995 original.
