The New Balance 991v2 "Walnut" Arrives August 2026

New Balance is continuing its autumn-inspired palette for the 991v2 with the "Walnut" colorway, a Made in England release that leans fully into muted, earthy tones without reaching for sharp contrast. Walnut and Shitake browns run across the entire build, shifting in depth and texture depending on the material underneath, which gives the upper its visual distinction without relying on any dramatic color breaks.

Suede overlays, leather panels, and mesh work through the same brown family, each reacting to light differently to keep the composition from reading as flat. The suede brings density and darkness, the leather panels hold structure, and the mesh softens the overall appearance. Brown carries through into the lining and down to the rubber outsole, while the classic "N" logos and 991v2 stampings are kept deliberately understated to blend with the surrounding materials. Underfoot, FuelCell foam, ABZORB, and ENCAP cushioning provide a soft yet stable platform, consistent with the comfort and snugness New Balance has built the 99X series around.
