The New Balance 204V Releases July 2026

New Balance introduced the 204V at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year, and now official images give a closer look at the first two colorways arriving this summer. The silhouette marks a notable departure for the brand, trading the familiar lace-up construction and boxy proportions of its heritage runners for something lower, slimmer, and closer in spirit to a racing flat than a lifestyle sneaker.

A stretch entry replaces traditional laces on the 204V, paired with an overlapping panel design that wraps across the foot and uses visible stitching to create a sense of structural continuity throughout the upper. Reflective accents around the toe box and heel add visual interest under direct light, while the underside of the shoe features a slim sole with exposed rubber pods. The "Fan Blue" colorway layers bright blue mesh with black suede overlays, finished with navy accents and silver New Balance branding. "Neo Flame" takes a darker approach, building almost entirely on a black upper before introducing orange mesh in targeted zones and orange panels running along the lateral sides. Both pairs share the same slim sole construction and retain the oversized "N" logo that connects the 204V to New Balance's broader design language.
