The New Balance 1890A "Snakeskin" Releases July 2026

New Balance is taking the 1890 line in a dressier direction with the 1890A "Snakeskin," a loafer-influenced silhouette dressed in the brand's "Morel" colorway. The design marks a notable departure from the standard 1890 releases that have populated the catalog over the past year, pushing the model into territory that sits comfortably between a casual sneaker and a more refined everyday shoe.

The upper is built from smooth leather shaped into a moccasin-style construction, with raised stitching wrapping the forefoot and forming a pronounced lip around the toe. Pale yellow leather covers the base, giving the "Morel" colorway its earthy character. Grey, brown, and black snakeskin-print panels break up the softer tone across key areas of the upper, adding an upscale texture to the hybrid silhouette. A black tongue label and matching midsole ground the look, while the familiar ABZORB-loaded sole unit from the original 1890 carries over underneath.

The New Balance 1890A "Snakeskin" is set to release on July 3rd, 2026 through New Balance and select New Balance retailers in-store and online, offered in unisex sizing for a retail price of $190.
