The New Balance 1890 "Streamsong" Releases July 2026

New Balance is keeping the 1890's momentum going with the "Streamsong" colorway, a build that leans into bold, trail-adjacent contrast in a way that feels native to the silhouette. Much like the 9060 has leaned into its hybrid construction with eccentric colorblocking, the 1890 has found its lane in zany arrangements, and "Streamsong" is a strong example of that direction done right. A navy mesh base sets the foundation, with hi-visibility alkaline green and orange tones landing across the upper to make the neon tones the clear focal point.

The green overlays draw from the 8090's synthetic construction and wrap around the toe, running through the midfoot in a fluid, almost skeletal pattern. Blue synthetic panels fill out the sides, while small reflective hits land near the forefoot and bright orange mesh lines the collar for another pop of contrast. Navy suede adds texture around the heel, and an oversized "N" logo sits on both sides. Toggle lacing gives the silhouette a more technical feel than a standard lifestyle runner, with "1890" branding near the heel completing the look. Underfoot, New Balance borrows the 2002's tooling, fitting the 1890 with an ABZORB cushioning setup and exposed pods in a mix of dark navy, blue, orange, and brown rubber, while a gum-heavy outsole anchors the brighter upper with a more grounded finish.

The New Balance 1890 "Streamsong" is set to release on July 9, 2026 via New Balance and select New Balance retailers, including Sneaker Politics, for a retail price of $180.
