By now it’s no secret that Nike has parted ways with NBA superstar Kyrie Irving. Though Kyrie’s signature shoe was super successful the line was scrapped after its 7th generation. While images of the 8th shoe had begun to leak online prior to the divorce, no actual pairs had been seen until now.
eBay seller @ya506416 recently posted a listing for “Nike Kyrie 8 Unreleased All Star For US 8.5. Only Pair In The World. VERY REAL”. If you’re at all concerned about Authenticity you can rest easy. Not only does eBay have top-notch verification, the listing also clearly states “VERY REAL” so there’s absolutely nothing to worry about. The seller only has 1 positive review and no avatar which makes the listing look even more suspect. Furthermore, the shoes would be virtually impossible to authenticate as no verifiable Kyrie 8’s exist to compare it against.
As for the shoe itself, it’s pretty appealing, sheer pink overlays on the upper with a blue swoosh outlined in gold. Black laces and sockliner with a white sole featuring Kyrie’s signature make it an overall nice design.
The eBay listing has a Buy It Now price tag of $2,300, so feel free to purchase the shoe now and hope for the best. You may get lucky and strike gold with a one of a kind come-up, but you have better luck taking your $2300 to your nearest roulette wheel and letting it ride.
This Kyrie listing marks the second eye-catching aftermarket sale in as many days with a pair of the Louis Vuitton Air Force 1’s catching over $50,000 on StockX yesterday. Who knows how either of these sales will turn out, but we’ll be sure to update when we have an answer.
