The Full Size Run show (FSR) has been a staple in the sneaker community for years. Joy La Puma, Matt Welty, and Brenden Dunne created a program for which sneakerheads across the globe set their reminders. They had the who's who of guests and always had major sneaker heat in the studio. Sadly, their run has ended, as the last FSR episode was filmed this week.
For their last episode, they brought on Marcus Jordan, one of the most polarizing personalities in the sneaker world. Some love him as he is Michael Jordan's son and has brought us some truly genius sneaker collaborations. Others hate him for the seemingly non-stop allegations of shady business practices and backdooring. Like him or not, he has produced some epic sneakers and brought some samples of those shoes for the FSR finale.
Marcus first brought out multiple Trophy Room x Air Jordan 7 samples. He showed off a blue pair fitted with an inner booty; that feature was ultimately scrapped as it was deemed too far of a departure from the OG to be considered a Retro. He also brought out an alternate white pair and a navy blue pair that were both scrapped as well. The real gem of the Trophy Room sample presentation was the Air Jordan 1 "Freeze Out" sample. The younger MJ introduced an icey blue pair that was meant to be an in-store exclusive. That pair never made its way to production, but the correlation from the "Freeze Out" concept was captured perfectly on the sample.
Hats off to the FSR crew. It's been a great run, and you more than made your mark on the sneaker world! Another Trophy Room x Air Jordan release is on the horizon, so follow us on Twitter and Instagram for all the latest updates.
