Marcus Jordan's public image has taken a beating in recent years, from the backdooring scandal of the Trophy Room Jordan 1s to dating the ex-wife of his father's adversary to letting a $157,000 credit card bill go unpaid. Given that Marcus brags about being the heir to the Air Jordan throne (his Twitter handle is @HeirMJ) and the size of the silver spoon he was born with, it's hard to feel sorry for him.
According to an article published by RadarOnline, American Express has sued Marcus Jordan for an unpaid credit card bill to the tune of $157,000. The card was a business card issued to Marcus's Trophy Room store in Orlando, FL. The card was issued to Marcus and Trophy Room in 2016, and Marcus was said to have made his payments on time up until mid-2022. In December 2022, it came to a head when American Express filed a lawsuit against Jordan to recover their funds. Since the suit was filed Marcus entered into a repayment plan with the credit card company and settled his debt.
The younger Jordan seems to enjoy having his name in the headlines, so don't be surprised if another scandal pops up soon. Until then, we have the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 Low collaboration to look forward to in 2024. Stay tuned to our Twitter and Instagram for more news on the Trophy Room Jordan 1 release.
