London Fashion House Introduces Teletubby boots...But Why?

London based fashion designer Christian Cowan and popular 90’s kids show Teleteubbies have come together to release a neon-green high heeled boot, and honestly……they’re straight up nightmare fuel. Even if you were a Teletubbie fan as a child you have to see these as potentially traumatic now.

The knee high boot will feature a Teletubby head (antennae and all) with arms at the top to give the illusion that it’s growing out of your leg. Not only is the Teletubby head aesthetically jarring but having it knock against your knee with every step cant be good for your legs. Cowan didn’t stop with the boots though, there’s a full on Teletubby apparel collection too. Tinkly-Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa & Po are all be memorialized on a hoodie, t-shirt, jeans and a denim jacket.

According to the designers Instagram post, "We treated Dipsy, Laa-Laa, Po & Tinkey-Winkey like the legends they are, shot in an Avedon-esque style, these garments tell the story of our four legendary characters, who have come to step on everyone's necks and have autographed these pieces for their adoring fans."

While they are nostalgic, the boots really push the boundaries of high fashion. Then again that’s what pushes the game forward.

The full collection is available now and the nightmare boots will cost a cool $2,500. If for some reason you're interested, head over to christiancowan.com to view the full collection.
