Stüssy and Levi's, two iconic brands in the world of fashion, have teamed up for a new denim capsule that celebrates the 150th anniversary of Levi’s 501 Jeans. To showcase the collection, Stüssy enlisted the help of talented photographer and filmmaker Frank Lebon for the debut campaign film, which captures the spirit of the collaboration perfectly. Additionally, Antosh Comoszko and Evan Clark created a second short film, which offers a unique perspective on the capsule.
The Stüssy x Levi’s Denim Capsule features two key pieces: a pair of straight-leg jeans and a reimagined Type II Trucker Jacket. Both pieces come in a matching indigo wash and feature co-branded embossed motifs on the front and back of the left and right legs. The jeans, with their five-pocket styling, are a classic cut that will never go out of style. The co-branded embossed motifs are a nod to both brands, combining Levi’s Two Horse Pull and Stüssy’s iconic logo in a custom back patch. The special edition pocket bag print and anniversary pocket flasher commemorate Levi’s 150th anniversary.
The Type II Trucker Jacket is a boxed-cut fit that includes relaxed arms and added welted pockets. The corduroy collar adds an extra touch of texture and the Baja-inspired pocket bags are a nod to Stüssy’s California roots. The classic Stüssy’s eightball logo is printed on the inner lining of the denim jacket, adding a touch of personality. But what really sets this denim capsule apart is the embossed motif on the back of the jacket. Combining Levi’s button-shank graphic with Stüssy’s subversive Double S design, the embossed graphic gives an added tactile texture that makes the pieces that much more unique.
The Stüssy x Levi's capsule will be available online via both brands' websites as well as at select chapter stores and DSM locations worldwide on February 24, 10 a.m. EST across North America, the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and other select regions.
