Back in December 2022, we saw NBA star Kyrie Irving part ways with Nike. Since then, Irving has teamed up with ANTA and will be releasing his debut signature sneaker, the ANTA Kai 1. Not only has Irving signed a five-year deal with ANTA, but has also landed a role as Chief Creative Officer for ANTA Basketball.
Following the success Irving his had since his partnership with ANTA, it has been reported that the Mavericks star has signed the first signature athlete for his ANTA sneaker line, his father, Drederick Irving. This will mark the first time in pro sports history where a player signs his dad to a shoe deal. Additionally, Drederick's first shoe is expected to be released as early as September in Foot Locker locations. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming months!
