If anyone still needs proof that Jayson Tatum can be the foundation of any franchise just take a look how his newest signature shoe shows respect to the woman who raised him. The Missouri native and Duke Alumni credits his mother, Brandi Cole-Barnes with instilling a mentality of “No-C’s” that gave him the work ethic necessary to reach NBA superstardom.
As for the shoe itself, there's a lot to unpack here. The Tatum 1 made its Jordan brand debut in 2022 and has received multiple makeovers since. This iteration features a floral motif that likely holds a sentimental value only his mother truly appreciates. The flower pattern drapes across a white based upper with black-lined pattern work and neon green detailing. Black trim work is found throughout the uppers and soles while the neon green highlights are just enough to let you know they’re there. A black heel panel and speckled green lacing adds a nice contrast to the Mommas Boy PE.
It’s highly unlikely that this pair ever releases but I’d be willing to bet that Ms. Cole-Barnes received a care package from the Swoosh. For the latest information on sneakers, clothing, and collectibles and to stay up to date with the latest drops, connect with us on Instagram and Twitter.
