The iPhone 18 Pro is the smaller of the two models and centers on a new 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture, a first for iPhone. Six laser-cut blades transition smoothly between four aperture settings, giving buyers automatic depth-of-field and lighting adjustments as well as manual Pro controls for shutter speed, white balance, and exposure. A new computational imaging pipeline sharpens detail, upgraded Photographic Styles add texture and grain controls, and video gains the ability to apply Cinematic effects after capture at up to 60 fps. The Dynamic Island is redesigned to display three Live Activities at once, and the A20 Pro chip, built on a 2-nanometer process, delivers up to 40 percent faster GPU performance and double the AI processing power of the previous generation. Battery life reaches up to 36 hours of video playback on eSIM-only models, with a 50 percent charge available in around 15 minutes wired.
