NBA All-Star and Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker has always shown love to the Chuck Taylor brand. Booker regularly pairs his game day outfits with the classic silhouette that compliment his minimalist outfits perfectly. Booker seems to have a love for the classics and his 1959 Chevrolet Impala is a testament to his old soul. Now Booker is getting his shot at putting his take on a classic on the Converse Chuck 70.
Devin Booker is the latest hooper to get a collaboration with the All-Star brand, after approaching the brand himself Converse granted Booker's wishes and now joins fellow NBA stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and PJ Tucker in putting their sauce on the model. The pair first hit the spotlight on the Sun's final regular season game against the Los Angeles Clippers. This collaboration strips down the timeless silhouette of Chuck 70 to its bare essentials, featuring a blank canvas upper and a rubber sole unit. The organic Egret color blocking dominates the base of the sneaker and eliminates the usual pinstripe and toe bumper on the midsole. A tonal embroidered Chuck Taylor patch, located on the lateral heel is almost invisible to the naked eye, while silver metallic eyelets and a gum outsole complete the collab.
The Devin Booker x Chuck 70 is expected to drop on April 12th, 2023, for a retail price of $95 on Converse.com and at select Converse retailers. The pair is also reported to be restocking on April 13th, 2023.
