No matter how fresh the new colorways look, nothing ever comes close to the OG 16 colorways of the Air Jordan 1. Maybe it's because that pack set the standard, or perhaps they just nailed it the first time. While the Nike Air Jordan 1 Low OG "University Red" isn't a true OG colorway, it's a slight variation of the "Metallic Red."
The Air Jordan 1 Low OG "University Red" will join a pair of other colorways leading the resurgence of the silhouette as the "Black Toe" and "UNC to Chicago" models will soon be released. The "University Red" will feature the premium buttery-soft leather upper the silhouette is known for in a nearly all-white presentation. The university red appears on the swoosh, outsole, sock liner, heel tab, and tongue tag, keeping the shoe simple and clean.
The Nike Air Jordan 1 Low OG "University Red" is currently scheduled to release on October 13th at a retail price of $140 via the Nike SNKRS App and at select other retailers. Stay tuned for more updates, and follow us on Twitter and Instagram for all the latest sneaker news and release schedule.
