In the past few years, we've seen Jordan Brand showcase more and more Jordan Brand-sponsored universities with their own unique sneakers. According to popular sneaker leaker, zSneakerHeadz, we can expect to see the first ever HBCU x Jordan release later this year. This collaboration will feature the popular Air Jordan 1 Low and will be likely hit retailers. Jordan Brand and Howard University partnered together back in August 2022, with this release marking a first step into the basketball world.
The Air Jordan 1 Low OG "Howard PE" is expected to feature a sleek two-toned color-blocking upper. The base leather layer arrives in Sail, with Red suede found on the overlays. We'll see a double Nike Swoosh design, with both arriving in Navy to match the school's colors. Additional Nike branding on the tongue will be found in White, alongside the Jordan Wings on the heel tab. Finishing off the look, we'll see a matching Sail midsole sitting atop a classic Gum rubber outsole. Stay tuned for more information regarding this release in the coming months!
