Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican holiday that honors deceased loved ones. To celebrate this year, adidas will be releasing a special Dia De Los Muertos collection in September to celebrate the culture. This collection features the Samba OG and Crazychaos 2000 silhouettes, both releasing in two colorways. Take a look at the official images of the pairs below.
The adidas Samba OG Dia De Los Muertos features both a "Black" and "White" variant. The "Black" pair features a color palette including Core Black, Off White, and Grey Six hues. The upper arrives in a mix of leather and suede, dressed entirely in Black. Off White accents will be found on the inner lining, tongue, and laces, alongside White stitching separating the leather and suede overlays. The "White" pair features a color palette including Off White, Core Black, and Crew Orange hues. Just like the "Black" pair, we'll see an upper constructed of leather and suede accents, with the leather found in Off White and suede in Grey. Black accents are found on the inner lining, tongue, and laces, as well as the exposed stitching found between the leather and suede overlays. Dia De Los Muertos graphics can be found on the tongue, laces outlets, and a specially designed insole.
The adidas Crazychaos 2000 Dia De Los Muertos also features a "Black" and "White" variant. The "Black" variant arrives in a color palette including Core Black, Off White, and Crew Orange hues. The upper features a base mesh layer dressed in Black, with leather overlays found in Off White. Crew Orange accents are found on the rear heel tab, with additional bright Green and Purple accents found on the adidas stripes. Similarly, the "White" pair feature a color palette including Off White, Core Black, and Crew Orange hues. This time around, the mesh base layer arrive in Off White, with suede and leather overlays found in White. Crew Orange accents will be found on the tongue and the colored adidas Stripes outline will also be found. Finishing off the look, we'll see a thick White midsole sitting atop a Gum rubber outsole.
