Vans is expanding its Souvenir series with a new Oatmeal colorway of the Old Skool 36, a line that has carved out a distinct identity by layering charm-heavy detailing and handcrafted textures on top of the brand's skate heritage. Previous entries in Warm Brown and Burgundy built the series a following, and this lighter option keeps the same decorated, worn-in spirit intact.
The upper is built on an aged Oatmeal canvas base that reads broken-in from the start. Matching laces, metal eyelets, and leather overlays reinforce the vintage feel, while a distressed midsole carries that weathered look through to the bottom half. The classic black waffle outsole sits underneath, keeping the shoe grounded in Vans' original construction.
Multicolor bouclé runs along the side stripe and collar, adding a tactile, textured contrast to the canvas base. The frayed finish and stitched details throughout the upper give the shoe its souvenir-style character, and a mix of button charms and metal pins rounds out the collectible detailing that has defined the series from the beginning.
The Vans Old Skool 36 Souvenir "Oatmeal" is set to release July 2026 through Vans and select retailers for a retail price of $125 USD. To stay informed on all things Vans and to stay up to date with the latest releases, connect with us on Instagram and Twitter.
