You’d be hard pressed to name a collaboration with as much success and longevity as the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 partnership. A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan may be the only one in the conversation and some of those shoes have been kind of iffy. The collection is rumored to culminate with the release of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG Olive and if this proves to be true, it will be a sad day in Sneaker Town.
The union kicked off in 2019 with the release of the iconic Air Jordan 1 High OG Mocha and was followed shortly after by the Air Jordan 1 Low OG in a similar colorway. In 2021 Japanese fashion powerhouse Fragment joined the fray and mixed their signature blue tones with the reverse swoosh of Cactus Jack on both a High and Low. Since then there's been a run on the low-tops with the Reverse Mocha, Black Phantom, and now the Olive colorway. Travis and Nike also come together to release two Air Force 1’s, multiple Air Maxes, Air Jordan 4’s and 6’s.
Hopefully, this is only the end of the Air Jordan 1 models and other silhouettes will continue to receive the Cactus Jack treatment but it all remains to be seen at this point. The collaborations have been some of the most hyped releases in Nike’s history and it seems strange that they would stop a train that's moving so fast.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG SP Travis Scott Olive is slated to drop on April 26, 2023 and will release in womens sizing via the SNKRS App and other select retailers.
