It looks as tho Union Los Angeles Is once again getting the privilege of putting their spin on the iconic Air Jordan 1 High. The last time the two streetwear staples came together, they produced one of the most sought-after pairs of Air Jordan 1 Highs to date. Now 5 years later, the two will try to make history repeat itself with a new controversial design.
The Union x Air Jordan 1 High OG is receiving a fresh colorway with a mixture of Sail, Wolf Grey, Muslin, Pale Vanilla, Kinetic Green, and University Gold shades. The shoes are built in full leather, with woven details that go across the center of the entire pair imitating a hem line. It gives the pair the illusion that the shoes are being held together by the woven effect. The design is heavily inspired by the OG Air Jordan Neutral Grey High 1s makeup and features Wolf Grey detailing on the Swooshes, collars, Nike Air tongue tags, and Wings. The lateral side features Union's "UN/LA" signature tag and exposed Green stitching, exposed stitching has come a staple for Union x Air Jordan collabs. Finishing details include heels embroidered with "BBS" that act as a tribute to Union founder Chris Gibbs' wife Beth, and her brand, Bephie's Beauty Supply, along with the two-tone aged rubber sole.
No official word on the exact date of release, but we expect the Union x Air Jordan 1 High OG Woven to drop sometime in August. The pair will be made available at select Jordan Brand retailers, store.unionlosangeles.com, and the Nike SNKRS app for $200. The shoe has garnered criticism online due to its obscure detailing, but we assure you just like any Union LA collab these guys will sell out quick.
