It’s hard to believe that 20 years have passed since the first Lebron James signature shoe launched. To celebrate Nike pulled out the who’s who of sneaker designers to commemorate the milestone. Tinker Hatfield, Aaron Cooper, and Eric Avar came together for the Nike Air Zoom Generation based on the Hummer H2 King James used to drive in High School.
The Air Zoom Generation boasts a multi-paneled grayscale with hits of Dark Grey and Wolf Grey on the upper which is composed of nubuck and suede. Also featured on this offering is a semi-translucent outsole and highlights of Anthracite to break up the lighter grey tones. Needless to say, the Swoosh went all out with this homage to one of the greatest to step on the court.
The Nike Air Zoom Generation is set to release this year with a price tag of $190. The release is set to drop on Nike.com and other select Nike retailers in the coming months.
