The Nike Air Max 1 Somos Familia Celebrates Latin Heritage Month
To celebrate Latin Heritage Month Nike has decided to release an Air Max 1 inspired color way coined the Somos Familia, which translates to "we are family." The shoe follows last years Latino Heritage Air Max 90 in what is projected to be a yearly release of sneakers to honor the Latin culture.
The shoe is a sight for sore eyes coming in a mixture of vibrant orange and vanilla tones. A mixture of materials is spread across the sneaker including burlap textile and suede materials to give the shoe a premium look. Embossed motifs that resemble the brightest star in our solar system, the sun, sit all around the mudguard panel. A gum rubber sole holds the heel where an embroidered butterfly can be seen, and the famous Airmax bubble is on full display in an orange hue.
