The Air Jordan 1 Low SE Tokyo Vintage sets itself apart from the crowd, not only by paying homage to Michael Jordans alma mater, but also by paying homage to the 1996 Nike Hoop Heroes event. The event was a monumental moment for Jordan Brand, marking the first time MJ visited Japan since the release of the Air Jordan Concord 11. The event showcased local talent and gave some of the most notable NBA players a chance to interact with their fans overseas.
The tongue of the sneaker is reminiscent of the collab between Union LA and Jordan Brand featuring visible foam and no top stich. White tumbled leather covers the base of the sneaker, while University Blue can be seen on the mudguard and outsole. Smoke grey fills the Nike Swoosh while accenting the eyestays, meanwhile sail shades fill the rubber midsole and laces. The pair is an elegant mix of history and style, the pair is sure to turn heads both on and off the court.
The Air Jordan 1 Low SE Tokyo Vintage is expected to drop on March 25th, 2023 for $120. The pair will be available Tokyo 23's website and select Atmos locations, keep your eyes peeled for a possible Nike SNKRS drop as well.
