The New York vs New York basketball tournament is a long-established celebration of the city’s best high school hoopers. Each year a who’s who of the NYC youngsters represent their neighborhoods and face off in a 12-team tournament. The games are played all around the 5 boroughs and culminate with the championship game at the legendary Rucker Park in Harlem.
Each year Nike designs special shoes to commemorate the tournament, previous years have seen special edition Air Force 1s, Dunks, and even GTs. This year Nike is breaking out the Terminator low for the annual celebrations. This year’s Nike Terminator Low NY vs NY will be dressed in noble red and coconut milk uppers. An Overstated “NY” will appear on each heel and will be outlined in metallic gold. The Nike Terminator seems to be having a bit of a moment as several colorways are currently in the pipeline.
If you didn’t make the roster of one of the participating teams you will still have the chance to purchase the Nike Terminator Low NY vs NY on August 12.
