Originally teased back in November 2022, Sean Wotherspoon has been kind enough to drop a new look of his latest collaboration with the Three Stripes brand. American designer and entrepreneur, Sean Wotherspoon, has recently taken to Instagram to give us a closer look at the upcoming Sean Wotherspoon x Adidas Gazelle Hemp collection while on a trip in Tokyo.
Most known for his 2018 collaboration with Nike, the Sean Wotherspoon x Nike Air Max 97/1, the Virginia native announced the beginning of his work with the Swoosh's biggest competitor back in early 2020 via a since-deleted cryptic Instagram post. Wotherspoon's work with Adidas focuses on sustainability, embroidery, and floral patterns, which is a signature theme for the designer. Growing up with a love for soccer, despite becoming a popular figure in the skateboarding community later in his career, Sean Wotherspoon has fixed his focus on some of Adidas' most popular silhouettes. Following the release of the adidas Orktero collection in early 2023, the designer has then continued to share leaks of his upcoming work, such as the adidas Gazelle Indoor Corduroy that Sean teased back in February 2023.
The SW adidas collaboration features a green upper base, dressed in white exposed stitching throughout, accompanied by a matching white tongue and signature three stripes branding. A "hemp" stitched tag sits on the side of the sneaker while the heel showcases a bright orange with Wotherspoon branding. The pair also comes with a branded cork-infused insole featuring Wotherspoons' emphasis on sustainability, a design consistent with other SW adidas Gazelle colorways.
The Sean Wotherspoon x adidas Gazelle Hemp is SW's first take on one of the brand's most classic models that are set to release in 2023. No confirmed release date has been announced for the pair but you can expect the collaboration to hit shelves in the coming months.
