When American Rapper Nipsey Hustle was tragically taken from the world in 2019 he left behind a legacy. He was a man of positivity, a man who wanted to uplift the streets, and a man who wanted to make a better tomorrow. Through his various outreach efforts and business ventures Nipsey always sought to give back to the community that raised him. Now Puma is giving back to his family.
Before his passing Hussle agreed to a clothing and shoe collaboration with sneaker brand Puma that was developed under Hussle's clothing brand The Marathon Clothing. The Marathon was a common theme of his music and represented the non-stop grind credo that he lived his life by. The collection has since been released and now Puma is doing their part to make sure Nipsey Hussle's children understand the importance their father left on the brand.
In an interview on the Ensure Your Leisure Podcast, Hussle's brother Blacc Slim, noted that Puma has come forward to build a trust fund for the two youngsters Hussle left behind. All the royalties and payments that were due as part of the original arrangement are now being passed on to the next generation.
The collection entitled “The Hussle” itself is available now from Puma features two sneakers with an RS-Fast model and a Status Symbol Suede. The clothing portion of the collection is made up of everyday pieces t-shirts, shorts, to full tracksuits. The mainstay colors of the collection are bright white and maroon but also have some blue and green pieces.
