Patta and Nike are teaming up on a Netherlands-inspired take on the Cryoshot Mercurial Vapor R9, a silhouette rooted in the legendary boot Ronaldo Nazário wore during the 1998 World Cup era. Rather than revisiting the classic Brazil blue and yellow palette, Patta steers the colorway toward Dutch football territory, building the shoe around black, silver, and orange in a nod to the Netherlands national team.
Metallic silver leather covers the majority of the upper, giving the shoe a clean but assertive base. Gloss black overlays layer over the silver to sharpen the overall look with a harder edge that pulls the design closer to streetwear than sport. Orange accents run along the panel lines and carry through to the Swoosh, providing the most direct reference to Dutch national team colors. The oversized tongue flap, a signature detail of the Mercurial R9 silhouette, remains a focal point of the build and keeps the boot's original identity present without making the sneaker feel like a straight-up retro.
The Patta x Nike Cryoshot Mercurial Vapor R9 "Metallic Silver/Black" is set to release on June 11th, 2026 exclusively via pattaxnike.com and Patta locations in Amsterdam, London, Milan, and Lagos, followed by a wider launch on June 16th, 2026 through the Nike SNKRS app and select retailers for a retail price of $210.
