The Nike Kobe 4 Protro "Draft Day Lakers" Releases June 2026

Nike is pulling the Kobe 4 Protro "Draft Day Lakers" out of its blind-box pack format and giving it a standalone release in kids' sizing. The colorway draws directly from the Los Angeles Lakers' palette, nodding to the 1996 NBA Draft night when Kobe Bryant was traded to the franchise by the Charlotte Hornets, setting off two decades of championship history in LA.

The upper arrives in Lakers Gold, with purple Swooshes trimmed in white providing the primary contrast. Below, the outsole mixes yellow and purple in a camouflage-like pattern that echoes earlier Kobe 4 colorways while staying locked into the team's official color scheme. Unlike the blind-box pairs from the larger Draft Day collection, this kids' version omits the ping-pong ball insole graphics, though the area behind the tongues carries over the same details found on the rest of the collection.
