The Nike Ja 4 "Dark Mode" Releases September 2026

Ja Morant's fourth signature shoe is getting an early look with the Nike Ja 4 "Dark Mode," a colorway that leans into the model's aggressive construction rather than relying on a loud palette. Black, Dark Smoke Grey, and Cobalt Bliss make up the build, keeping the overall tone restrained while the shoe's sharp silhouette and heavily molded upper do most of the visual work.

Dark grey covers the majority of the exterior, with black worked into the sculpted sections throughout. Diamond-patterned texture runs across much of the surface, giving the Ja 4 a harder, more technical character than the layered builds typical of basketball footwear. Chrome breaks through the darker finish at the midfoot, where a metallic "A" aligns with a reverse Swoosh to spell out "JA," continuing the branding language Nike introduced on the Ja 3. Small Cobalt Bliss hits provide just enough contrast to keep the colorway from reading completely flat without pulling attention away from the form.
