With the successful release of the Nike Ja 1, Nike and Ja Morant has officially unveiled the new Nike Ja 2. Debuting in “Purple Sky," this colorway will arrive just in time for the 2024-25 NBA season. Take a look at the official image of the pair below and stay tuned for more updates.
The Nike Ja 2 has been designed to maximiz comfort and support, defending against the rigors of a full season of takeoffs, landings and lateral movement.
“From the Ja 1 to the Ja 2, the core things remain the same. The work ethic doesn’t change,” Morant says. “It’s about comfort, more bounce and bringing my fans into some different storytelling they may not know. We tell those stories through the colorways of my shoe.”
The “Purple Sky” features a color palette including Bold Berry, Light Lemon Twist, Dark Raisin, and Baltic Blue hues. The upper is constructed of a mix of mesh and leather arriving in Bold Berry. The Nike Swoosh features a bright Baltic Blue and Lemon Twist hue, with the mudguard found in a speckled Black hue. The forefoot Air Zoom unit delivers extra bounce and effortlessly guides athletes through quick shifts on the court, while a molded midfoot panel drives lockdown responsiveness and control for hoopers who run the break or break off defenders one on one.
The Nike Ja 2 “Purple Sky” is set to release on October 8th, 2024 via Nike.com and other select Nike retailers for a retail of $120. To stay informed on all things Nike Brand and to stay up to date with the latest releases, connect with us on Instagram and Twitter.
