NBA All-Star Weekend is notoriously one of the biggest sneaker release weekends of the year. Over the years, countless sneaker releases took place during the festivities, and players take advantage of the big stage to offer teasers of upcoming releases by wearing them in-game. This year, the Nike Ja 1 "All-Star" is one of what is sure to be many sneaker-based highlights of the All-Star Weekend.
Like many previous Nike Ja 1 releases, the upcoming "All-Star" uses bright and vibrant colors. The kicks come with Racer-Blue, Bright-Crimson, Volt, Bright-Mandarin, and Wolf Grey all strewn about the shoe, but this release's true highlights are the accompaniments. The insoles are laden with images of calendar reminder messages, and the outsoles are inscribed with the phrase "Now I'm proud to say I work for the check," referencing a tweet from Morant when he first signed with Nike. The Ja 1 "All-Stars" also comes with a mock employee badge accessory that keeps the theme of that tweet going strong.
The Nike Ja 1 "All-Star" will be released on February 16th, 2024 for $140. The shoes will be available via the SNKRS App, other select Nike Basketball retailers, and you can see an on-site drop for those attending the game.
