Nike is channeling its experimental late-1990s and early-2000s energy with the First Sight Shadow, a women's lifestyle silhouette that draws heavily from the Alpha Project era without feeling like a direct retro. The all-black colorway is one of the cleaner expressions of the model so far, letting the shoe's unconventional form do the heavy lifting rather than relying on color contrast.

The molded upper carries a smooth, sculpted build that brings the Flightposite line to mind. Raised and recessed details run across the shell's surface, creating an uneven, almost liquid-like texture that gives the shoe its distinct visual character. A debossed crosshair divides the forefoot into four sections, each filled with rounded traction pods on the outsole below. Toward the rear, a Swoosh cuts through the heel and extends up onto the upper, while wavy tread patterns cover the remaining outsole sections, adding another layer to the design's unconventional geometry.
