Nike is tapping into downtown New York City's punk rock history with the Dunk Low "CBGB," a colorway built around the legendary club on the corner of Bleecker and Bowery that gave rise to bands like the Ramones, Blondie, and Talking Heads. Rather than leaning on a flashy tribute, the design pulls from the gritty, lived-in atmosphere that defined the venue itself.
The upper arrives in a Metallic Silver, College Grey, Cave Stone, and Off Noir palette, with torn and distressed material giving the shoe a worn-in character that mirrors CBGB's poster-plastered walls and rough interior. CBGB logos land on the tongue and heel, while replicas of the Bleecker and Bowery street signs appear on the inner tongues, grounding the design in the actual corner where the club stood. Nike keeps the execution restrained, letting the texture work and location-specific details carry the concept without overloading the silhouette.
The Nike Dunk Low "CBGB" is set to release on June 2nd, 2026 via Nike and select retailers for a retail price of $130. To stay informed on all things Nike and to stay up to date with the latest releases, connect with us on Instagram and Twitter.
