Nike is expanding the Ava family with the Ava Edge, a more structured take on the lifestyle running silhouette that introduced the line. Where earlier Avas leaned into soft curves and approachable proportions, the Edge shifts toward harder angles and a more architectural upper, positioning it as the more aggressive option within the collection.
The low-top upper is built on a grey foundation, with a synthetic mesh cage molding over the forefoot and lateral panels to add visual weight without feeling overdone. Royal blue runs through the toe box, midfoot overlays, and down onto the sole unit, creating a clean contrast against the grey base. Small hoop Swooshes appear at the toe box, tongue badge, side panel, and underfoot, distributing the branding across the shoe in a subtle, repeating pattern. A suede-like quarter panel adds texture at the heel, while a perforated Nike-branded tongue and blue blank insoles round out the interior details. Grey rope laces complete the look.
The midsole and outsole are defined by a grooved honeycomb grid with pixel-cut openings, a pattern that shapes the shoe's character more than any other single design choice. The angled geometry reinforces the Edge's departure from the softer Ava aesthetic. Rumors point to ReactX cushioning underneath, though Nike has not officially confirmed the tech stack.
The Nike Ava Edge "Wolf Grey/Racer Blue" is expected to release during Summer/Fall 2026. Pricing has not been announced. To stay informed on all things Nike and to stay up to date with the latest releases, connect with us on Instagram and Twitter.
