Nike Air Trainer SC "Atlanta Olympics 30th Anniversary" Releases June 1st

Nike is marking three decades since the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics with a new Air Trainer SC colorway built around that anniversary. The cross-training silhouette has a natural connection to Olympic competition given its lineage in the sport, and this release leans into the Atlanta chapter specifically rather than recycling the teal treatment that appeared on the shoe's 20th anniversary version back in 2016.

Purple suede covers the bulk of the upper, spreading across the shaggy overlays and coordinating leather panels. White breaks up the darker tones on the tongue, laces, straps, midsole, and side panel accents, while gold hardware adds an Olympics-appropriate touch without overwhelming the palette. The detail work is where the Atlanta references come through most clearly. An embroidered peach sits on the right tongue as a nod to the host city, gold Nike branding occupies the left tongue, and "96" is printed inside the insole to tie the shoe directly to the Games.

Underfoot, the translucent outsole reveals hits of red, teal, yellow, and orange, pulling directly from the vibrant color scheme that defined the Atlanta Olympics branding during the '96 Games. It's a restrained way to reference the original palette without making it the centerpiece of the design.
