Nike is pushing the Air Rift further into fashion territory with the "Flowers" colorway, a build that trades the soft, pastel tones of recent iterations for an all-black aesthetic rooted in texture and detail. The 1996 split-toe trainer has always occupied a space between runner, sandal, and lifestyle shoe, and this edition leans deeper into that identity with a more polished, elevated presentation.
The upper is constructed in black leather, giving the silhouette a cleaner and more refined base than its athletic origins might suggest. Patent-style strap overlays introduce a subtle gloss contrast, while velvet-like trim softens the collar and split-toe forefoot for a tactile finish. The defining detail comes through leather flower appliqués placed across the vamp and lateral ankle, rendered in black with metallic bead centers. The floral hits add a feminine dimension without breaking the all-black continuity. Small white Swoosh embroidery near the toe provides the only tonal contrast on the exterior, while Nike Air branding on the insole and heel strap keeps the remaining design intentionally restrained.
